Our Corporate Responsibility Pillars

We strive to improve outcomes for patients and enable access to potentially life-changing treatments. We believe it is our responsibility to push the boundaries of discovery, clinical development and delivery to fuel significant and sustainable patient impact. Our Patient Access Philosophy holds us accountable for this.

Alnylam’s growth and success are based on sustainable scientific innovation and ground-breaking laboratory advances in RNAi.

At Alnylam, our growth and future success is directly tied to our passionate, patient focused, results-driven, and dedicated employees. We are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce where individuals are empowered to achieve their full potential.

Alnylam’s mission to improve human health extends to the communities where we operate. We actively engage people in tackling the world’s most pressing community and health equity challenges. Removing barriers that limit access to quality healthcare stands at the centre of our community impact work.

At Alnylam, we know the health of every individual around the world is inextricably linked to the health of our planet. It is our responsibility to minimise our impact on the environment and work to address the growing threat of climate change globally.

As Alnylam grows, our commitment to ethics and integrity remains steadfast. Since our inception, good governance and integrity have been cornerstones of our growth. While our values call for urgency and innovation, our success is dependent on our continued focus on ethics, compliance, and the strongest global legal standards.

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY

Alnylam Challengers is our signature community impact programme. Through it, we try to improve health equity by addressing the social determinants of health, those structural factors such as poverty, homelessness, and discrimination. We partner with diverse and boldly ambitious social enterprises and non-profit organisations to create new, sustainable solutions that improve the lives of underserved communities around the world.

Refugee Action

Through our ongoing partnership with Refugee Action, we have committed significant funding to support refugees in developing English language and employability skills. This collaboration has helped expand the Pathways to Work programme, which adapts to the challenges faced by refugees in the UK, providing not only practical employment support but also helping individuals build confidence, identify career goals, and pursue new opportunities.

The programme has had a measurable impact, with participants reporting significant improvements in wellness, readiness for employment, and understanding of UK work culture. Many clients have successfully transitioned into education, employment, or training, gaining valuable skills for a fresh start.

This partnership is fully aligned with our global Alnylam Challengers initiative, which seeks to address systemic health equity issues, advance the work of bold charitable organisations, and empower our employees to contribute to improve the health of under-represented and underserved people throughout the world.” Phil Davey, Vice President and Country Manager, Alnylam UK and Ireland.

Alnylam Community Service Week

For several years, Alnylam UK team members have come together to support various local organisations in the Windsor and Maidenhead area. Our efforts typically include participating in community initiatives such as litter picking, volunteering with local charities, and helping to improve spaces through painting and decorating. We also engage in activities like gardening and sorting donations to support families and individuals in need. These initiatives allow us to make a positive impact on the local community and contribute to meaningful causes.
